RAVENNA TOWNSHIP

PUBLIC HEARING

AND

SPECIAL MEETING

June 26, 2018

 

 

A Public Hearing and Special Meeting of the Ravenna Township Board were held on Tuesday, June 26, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Elmer Hoyle.  Members present were:  Elmer Hoyle, Supervisor; Penny Sherman, Clerk; Sonja Patterson, Treasurer; and Greg Crowley, Fire Chief.  Bruce Yonker, Trustee and John Bonthuis, Trustee were absent.  Pledge was led by Hoyle.  Prayer was led by Hoyle.  Motion by Sherman, support by Patterson to open Public Hearing at 6:05 p.m.  Motion carried.  Sherman presented the 20178-2019 Township Budget showing expected revenues of $591,600.00 and expected expenditures of $591,600.00.  Patterson presented the 2018-2019 Fire Department Budget showing expected revenues of $253,941.49 and expected expenditures of $253,941.49.  Citizen’s Comments:  None.  Motion by Sherman, support by Patterson to close Public Hearing.  Public Hearing closed at 6:10 p.m.

Special Meeting opened at 6:10 p.m.

Motion by Sherman, support by Hoyle to approve the June 14, 2018 Township Board Meeting minutes. Motion carried.

Agenda approved as presented.

Citizen’s Comments: None

Motion by Sherman, support by Patterson to make the following amendment to the current 2017-2018 Township Budget: Township Hall-Technology Expense $182.13.  Motion carried.  Funds for the amendment are available from the Township Fund Balance.

Resolution 18-02 a Resolution Approving Annual Township Budget and Determining Property Tax Rates for Support of Budget was presented. Motion by Patterson, support by Hoyle to approve Resolution 18-02.  Roll call vote taken:  Sherman-Aye, Patterson-Aye, Hoyle-Aye.  Motion carried.  Absent:  Bonthuis and Yonker.  Motion by Patterson, support by Hoyle to approve the 2018-2019 Township Board Budget.  Motion Carried.  Motion by Sherman, support by Hoyle to approve the 2018-2019 Fire Department Budget.  Motion Carried.

Citizens Comments: None.

Motion by Sherman, support by Patterson to adjourn. Motion carried.

Adjourned at 6:15 p.m.
