RAVENNA TOWNSHIP PLANNING COMMISSION
PUBLIC HEARING AND MEETING
MINUTES
July 17, 2017
A Public Hearing and Meeting of the Ravenna Township Planning Commission were called to order on Monday, July 17, 2017 at 7:00 by Chairman Jack Link. Members present were: Link, Roger Peacock, Mike Gillard, Bruce Yonker, Stan Wagner, Zoning Administrator Anne Lewis and Recording Secretary Penny Sherman. Pledge to the flag was led by Chairman Link.
Motion by Link to open the Public Hearing at 7:05 p.m., support by Peacock. Motion carried.
Purpose of the Public Hearing was to consider and receive comments on proposed amendments to the Township of Ravenna Zoning Ordinance.

- Single Family Dwellings in the A-1 Prime Agricultural DistrictPublic Hearing closed at 7:30 p.m.Motion by Wagner, support by Peacock to approve the minutes from the June 19, 2017 Ravenna Township Planning Commission and Ravenna Township Board Joint Meeting. Motion carried.Citizen Comments: NoneUnfinished Business: None.Next meeting is tentatively scheduled for Monday, September 18, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. unless an August meeting date is needed.Respectfully submitted by Penny Sherman, Ravenna Township Clerk

- New Business: Motion by Peacock, support by Wagner to send proposed amendment to the Township of Ravenna Zoning Ordinance concerning Wind Energy Conversion Systems to the Ravenna Township Board for approval. Motion carried. Motion by Peacock, support by Yonker to send proposed amendment to the Township of Ravenna Zoning Ordinance concerning Solar Energy Conversion Systems to the Ravenna Township Board for approval. Motion carried. Motion by Link, support by Wagner to send proposed amendment to the Township of Ravenna Zoning Ordinance concerning Single Family Dwellings in the A-1 Prime Agricultural District to the Ravenna Township Board for approval. Motion carried. Medical Marijuana regulations were discussed. Motion by Yonker, support by Wagner to table Regulations regarding Medical Marijuana until information is received from the Township Board. Motion carried.
