Neighbors’ letter was read by Link and responded to by Dufendach. There will be no explosive ingredients in the fertilizer and there will be no harm to well water.  This property will remain zoned A-1.  It was also mentioned that this is a seasonal business.  Dufendach stated that the operation will be inspected on a regular basis by the Michigan Department of Agricultural Development.  Other neighbors were present and their questions were answered by Dufendach.

New Business: A Special Land Use Application from Kurt Dufendach to open a fertilizing distributorship was discussed. Planning Commission asked about the new driveway and plans for a future building to house the distributorship.  The drive had been approved by the Muskegon County Road Commission.  Zoning Administrator will look at new building when it is decided to build.  Concerns were raised because Dufendach only has a purchase agreement and does not own the land.  Owner of the property had signed the Special Land Use Permit.  Dufendach also stated that he would set a meeting with the Fire Department when completed.  Motion by Yonker, support by Peacock to approved the Special Land Use Application by Kurt Dufendach to open a fertilizer distributorship as long as all State regulations met.  Motion carried.  This Special Land Use Application approval cannot follow him anywhere and no other person at 5120 S Ravenna Rd, Ravenna, MI 49451 may use this Special Land Use Permit.
