RAVENNA TOWNSHIP
PUBLIC HEARING
AND
SPECIAL MEETING
June 22, 2017
A Public Hearing and Special Meeting of the Ravenna Township Board were held on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at 7:05 p.m. The meeting was called to order by Clerk Penny Sherman. Members present were: Penny Sherman, Clerk; Bruce Yonker, Trustee; and John Bonthuis, Trustee. Supervisor Elmer Hoyle and Treasurer Sonja Patterson were absent. Pledge was led by Trustee Bonthuis. Prayer was led by Clerk Sherman. Motion by Yonker, support by Bonthuis to open Public Hearing at 7:10 p.m. Motion carried. Sherman presented the 2017-2018 Township Budget showing expected revenues of $552,280.00 and expected expenditures of $552,280.00. Sherman presented the 2017-2018 Fire Department Budget showing expected revenues of $208,041.86 and expected expenditures of $208,041.86. Citizen’s Comments: None. Motion by Sherman, support by Bonthuis to close Public Hearing. Public Hearing closed at 7:15 p.m.
Special Meeting opened at 7:18 p.m.
Motion by Bonthuis, support by Yonker to approve the June 8, 2017 Township Board Meeting minutes and the June 14, 2017 Budget Workshop Meeting minutes. Motion carried.
Motion by Bonthuis, support by Yonker to approve the Agenda. Motion carried.

Resolution 17-02 a Resolution Approving Annual Township Budget and Determining Property Tax Rates for Support of Budget was presented. Motion by Sherman, support by Bonthuis to approve Resolution 17-02. Roll call vote taken: Yonker-Aye, Bonthuis-Aye, Sherman-Aye. Motion carried. Absent: Hoyle and Patterson. Motion by Yonker, support by Bonthuis to approve the 2017-2018 Township Board Budget. Motion Carried. Motion by Yonker, support by Sherman to approve the 2017-2018 Fire Department Budget. Motion Carried.
